Just put note on SBHS Facebook page. No one responded to my Feb 25, 2016 note. That tells me nobody is interested in President's Day gatherings anymore. 2017 would have been my 20 year doing them, except for Harold stepping up and doing all that work in 2003 to do the "Ark" dinner. If anyone else steps-up ... let me know, I'll come.

Dear classmates , I was looking at this site's memorials and noticed that Thomas Schweitzer's picture did not note his birth or death dates . I herein correct that omission . Tom was born on Dec. 1 , 1939 . He died in his home in Orlando on May 14 , 1993. He was my best friend in high school. Tom was born in a German-speaking part of Yugoslavia . After the war , Tom and his parents were put in a concentration camp by the Soviets . His father was murdered there and his mother died of starvation, having given Tom her share of the food . He came to Hollywood to live with a paternal uncle . Tom was a gentle soul and a good student . He belonged to the Honor Society and went to Boy's State . We often went to Mass together on Sunday at our local Catholic Church . Can you imagine his prayers and questions to Jesus. Why God , why , why , why my family ?

Dear friends, it is with a heavy heart that I am passing on the news that Jeanine Hansen passed away on Wednesday. I knew that she was still struggling after brain surgery & treatment for cancer but the last time I spoke with her, she was hopeful & looking forward to driving again. Sadly, it wasn't to be. May she rest in peace. Information regarding obituary & celebration of her life is forthcoming. Much love & lots of hugs to all, Lita

Had a wonderful day at Teresa Lynch's home Saturday. About 20 58'ers got there. Teresa had a buffet spread that would tear a gourmands eyes. I think everyone enjoyed the day and we missed so many who could have come...then again, there was more food and more time to hug ... THANK YOU Teresa ... lots of work, successfully done
